Parade Participant Registration
Parade Date: May 17, 2025
WE cordially invite you and your organization to participate in the Northeast Pennsylvania Armed Forces Day Parade to be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 11:00am in Scranton, PA. We request your support to recognize and pay tribute to service members who are serving our local communities, Commonwealth, and our Nation. Northeastern Pennsylvania has a strong history of supporting our nation, including the Armed Forces Day Parade, a mainstay in the NEPA community since 1950. This year’s parade will honor the seven members who reestablished the parade in the 1990s.
The parade will begin at 11:00am. Organizations will form up in the vicinity of the Gino Merle Veteran’s Center (401 Penn Avenue, Scranton) and proceed to march to Courthouse Square. There will be a reviewing stand, military displays, and informational tables set up on Courthouse Square.
Please submit your application by April 24, 2025 so that the Parade line up and muster locations can be finalized and published. Applications received after the deadline will be considered in a case-by-case situation. Each marching unit, band, vehicle, or float should clearly display the name of your organization. Throwing candy from vehicles is not permitted. We will contact you with the time and exact line up location for your organization.
